Pseth realized he had been left behind, and hurried to catch up with Keth and Yzal. Tallos, a fiery-haired cleric of Kossuth, accompanied him back to the Dordrien Crypts.
Pseth led Tallos quickly through the crypt caverns and down the hole to the large chasm and its huge spider web. Spotting the ladder-like construction of the web, they began to descend on the non-sticky strands. Pseth, for reasons of his own, climbed down head-first. As they climbed, they spotted a cavern to the east (Tallos's right, Pseth's left) and headed for that.
The dead bodies in the cavern and the large room it led to, neatly lined up and stripped of valuables, told Pseth he was on the right track. Then came the ransacked rooms. Finally, they came to a door that was closed tightly. When Pseth opened the door, he found he had to dodge Keth's huge axe. Tallos was introduced to everyone.
Istreya convinced the party to wait until she could pray for spells again from her god, Eilistraee. Pseth stood guard where he could see the exit to the chasm. When he spotted a drow trying to sneak in, the party pounced on him and put him to the question, with Istreya translating. He didn't seem to know much.
Searching the rest of the rooms on this level, the party was jumped by a large, lizard-like fire creature who beat on Keth and rained fire on everyone before he was dispatched.
Satisfied that they had looted and explored this current set of rooms, the party headed down the web and found themselves on the edge of a large cavern. Duergar merchants with large pack lizards had setup shop in the cavern. A group of kua-toa and a mind-flayer were perusing the merchants wares. Beyond the merchants and shoppers, a handful of drow guards were on duty.
The drow guards shot crossbows at the party while one of their number ran down a side passage, out of sight. Charging to attack the drow, Pseth was attacked by the duergar. So he attacked them back. The mind-flayer did a mindblast, stunning Yzal and Istreya. The kua-toa ran as soon as the fighting started. The battle raged on briefly until things had quieted down enough for the party to strip the fallen combatants, inventory a chunk of the loot, and convince the pack lizards to carry all of it back up to the surface.
When they reached the surface, Istreya bid the party thanks and farewell.
