Silverymoon

Kizzaf reached Darnarest's tower just as full dark was falling. The party's horses were there, but there was no sign of the party themselves. Setting herself up in a tree, she waited until morning to see what was up. When there had been no sign of the group, she ventured slowly into the ruins. The glyph on the first landing blasted her and wounded her pretty bad. When the noise of the blast and her own cursing did not seem to attract any attention, she cast detect magic and used that avoid the remaining glyphs as she quickly explored the empty ruins.

The portal facinated the wizard and she quickly discerned how to operate it. Not trusting it to bring her back, though, she did not pass through.

Working her way carefully back to the surface, Kizzaf decided to take the party's mounts and sell them in Everlund. She would not reach there today, but she figured that if she left first thing in the morning she should reach Everlund by nightfall. With that decided, she rode one of the horses out to collect her zombies.

She didn't find the zombies where she had left them, which annoyed her to no end. Resigning herself to the fact, she rode back to spend the night in the ruined tower's sub-levels, trusting the still-intact glyphs would provide at least some warning if there were intruders.

The next morning, she saddled up a single horse, and left the rest of the saddles lying in the grass. She didn't want to arouse suspicion by arriving with saddled horses. The mounts would seem obviously stolen.

She made good time and arrived in Everlund in the early evening of 9 Eleasis.

Kizzaf is essentially out of the storyline until the party gets back to Silverymoon. Even then, it will be a while before they encounter her again, unless an adventure of some sort pulls them to Everlund.

Cult of the Dragon

With Ryngoth dead, along with nearly half of the Tower of Bones total forces, the Cultists at the Castle Cormanthor are damn well aware that they are under attack. The captured gnome that was rescued is now assumed to have been a member of an adventuring company that was looking to raid Myth Drannor.

Since there were few survivors who actually saw the attackers in action, very little is known about them. What their capabilities are, how many of them there are, and so on.

The Tower of Bones is now under the command of a 7th-Level necromancer, Kireba. She has only 2 necromancers and 3 clerics left in the Tower, along with a 3 guards, 6 soldiers, and 6 sentries. No more than 2 of the spellcasters are allowed outside the Tower at the same time. That has slowed down the digging since it means fewer groups of zombies can be employed.

The Tower cannot be re-staffed because all extra soldiers are needed to keep the path from Myth Drannor's gate to the Castle Cormanthor open. So nearly all patrols that extend out from the Polyandrium have been cancelled. The graveyard itself is under increased scrutiny because it is assumed that the attackers will strike there.

To assist with guarding the digs in the Polyandrium, the very young red dragon, Palasiraks, is sent out to fly over the graveyard and the surrounding area, keeping an arial watch. She arrives on the morning after the attack and uses the top of the Tower of Bones as a roost. At night she will fly back into the city. [an error occurred while processing this directive]
