Earlier this week I went for a photowalk with my friend James.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The first shot was taken from my 2nd-floor office window. For the rest of the shots, I wandered outside–once again wishing I had a pair of galloshes–balancing a camera in one hand and an umbrella in the other (to protect the camera).

 

 

 

 

 

These pics aren’t anything special (as pictures), but they welcome a new hawk to the neighborhood: a red-shouldered hawk.
